1. Who is responsible for your data?

The controller responsible for processing your personal data in connection with StyleMate AI is StyleMate AI (referred to as “we”, “our” or “us”). For all privacy questions, you can contact us at privacy@stylemate-ai.com.

2. What data we process

We process only the data needed to provide and improve StyleMate AI:

• Account data: name, email address, authentication identifiers, language/timezone.
• App content: photos you upload, saved outfits, Lookbook entries, Closet items, and style preferences.
• Technical & usage data: device identifiers, log information, and basic usage analytics (e.g. which features are used, crash reports).

3. Purposes and legal bases (GDPR Art. 6)

We process your data for the following purposes and legal bases:

• Providing the app and its core features (style analysis, Lookbook, Closet, planner)
  Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Account management, support and communication
  Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) in running the service and responding to requests.
• Security, abuse prevention and fraud detection
  Legal basis: our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) in keeping the service secure and preventing misuse.
• Product analytics and improvement (e.g. understanding which features are used to improve UI/UX)
  Legal basis: your consent where required (Art. 6(1)(a)) and/or our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) in improving the service. You can withdraw or change analytics consent in the app where available.
• Marketing communications (e.g. newsletters, product updates) only if you actively opt in.
  Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). You can unsubscribe at any time.

4. AI processing and photos

When you use StyleMate AI, your photos and style inputs may be processed by AI models (for example, for style analysis or model image generation). We use trusted processors and apply technical and organizational measures to protect your content. We do not use your images to train public models in a way that would make your content visible to other customers.

5. Storage locations & international transfers

We primarily host StyleMate AI (including this website and the app backend) on cloud infrastructure located in the European Union, currently in the Google Cloud region europe-west1. Some service providers (for example AI providers, email or analytics tools) may process data in other countries such as the United States. Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent mechanisms to protect your data in line with the GDPR.

6. How long we keep your data

• Account data is stored for as long as your account is active.
• App content (photos, outfits, Closet items) is stored until you delete it or delete your account.
• Technical logs and analytics data are kept only as long as necessary for security, troubleshooting and improvement, and are then deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights under GDPR

You have the following rights, subject to legal conditions:

• Right of access to your personal data (Art. 15 GDPR)
• Right to rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16)
• Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”, Art. 17)
• Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18)
• Right to data portability (Art. 20)
• Right to object to certain processing (Art. 21), including profiling based on legitimate interests
• Right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal

You can exercise many of these rights directly in the app (for example, by deleting content or your account). For any other request, email us at privacy@stylemate-ai.com.

8. Complaints to a supervisory authority

If you believe that our processing of your personal data violates data protection law, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority in the EU/EEA, in particular in your place of residence or work.

1. Scope of the service

StyleMate AI provides digital tools for outfit planning, style suggestions and AI-generated visuals. The app is intended for personal, non-commercial use unless we explicitly agree otherwise in writing.

2. Account and eligibility

• You must provide accurate registration information and keep your login details secure.
• You are responsible for all activity on your account.
• You may not use the service in violation of applicable laws or to harm others.

3. User content and licenses

You retain ownership of photos and other content you upload to StyleMate AI. By using the app you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process that content (including with AI models) solely for:

• Providing core functionality (style suggestions, Lookbook, Closet, planner, visualisations)
• Operating, maintaining and improving the service
• Meeting legal, security and compliance requirements

We do not sell your personal content. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to upload any content you use in the app (for example, respecting third-party copyrights and privacy).

4. Fair use and prohibited behaviour

• No automated scraping, bulk exporting or reverse engineering of the app or APIs.
• No uploading of illegal, abusive, hateful, infringing or otherwise harmful content.
• No attempts to circumvent usage limits, security measures, or billing/access controls.

5. AI suggestions and disclaimer

All style suggestions, scores and AI-generated visuals are informational only and may not always be accurate or appropriate for your situation. We do not provide professional fashion, financial, legal or medical advice. You remain responsible for your wardrobe choices and any decisions you make based on the app.

6. Availability and changes

We aim to keep StyleMate AI available and evolving, but we may change, suspend or discontinue parts of the service (for example, to add features, fix bugs, or comply with legal requirements). Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice of significant changes.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, our liability for any claims relating to the use of StyleMate AI is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve (12) months prior to the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, unless required by mandatory law.

8. Governing law

These Terms apply in addition to any mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence. If you reside in the EU/EEA, you benefit from the mandatory rights granted by EU consumer law.
